Arika has been riding and competing in dressage for the past 16 years. She is currently a USDF Bronze Medalist working towards her Silver and Gold Medals. Not only is she working on her personal horse and goals, she has a true passion for helping others feel and understand a true connection with their horse.
In the past Arika has worked for and trained with several FEI Dressage trainers, Shannon Dahmer, Natalie Henniman, Sarah and Clayton Martin, and many more. Arika did a summer internship in Germany and continues her training weekly with David Wightman and Kathleen Raine. She participated in Pony Club to C1 level and Level III 4H activities increasing her knowledge in many other disciplines as well.
She has had opportunity to work with and ride many different breeds and events with horses.Some of those include Warmbloods, Quarter Horses, Friesians, Welsh Ponies, Thoroughbreds and many more. She has an open mind about all horses knowing basic dressage training scale making them more athletic, competitive, and fun in whatever equine activities the rider has in mind. She truly believes that it’s about having a relationship and connection with the horse to be able to communicate in the most effective and harmonious way. Her focus is to be able to break down the steps in detail for people to reallyunderstand the language our equine friends speak.
